Did Ezra Sargunam, KS Alagiri give clean chit to TN school in suicide case?

HYDERABAD: Amid conversion row, social media users are claiming that Archbishop Ezra Sargunam has said that investigation into the Tamil Nadu school is unnecessary.

This follows the suicide by a student over an alleged forced conversion.

The post carries the purported statement by Ezra Sargunam on the issue.

"The investigation into the school is unnecessary. Student Lavanya committed suicide, it was her personal choice. It is our call to follow Christianity. If she did not like what was going on, she should have joined another school. No action should be taken against the administrators of Sacred Heart High School," the statement reads.

Another post quoted Congress leader KS Alagiri as saying: "The death of student Lavanya is an ordinary suicidal case. BJP is taking it as a religious act. As per the guidelines of Mother Sonia Gandhi, the Congress party will stand by the Christians"
