A morphed video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi waving to a non-existent crowd is viral on social media.

It has triggered a Twitter war with BJP leaders posting an original video with PM Modi waving to an enthusiastic crowd.

Some users wrote: "Those who can't see the crowd go for an eye check-up."

The video was shared by the Twitter handle of the Congress party but was later taken down.

Fact Check:

The claim that PM is waving to an empty ground is FALSE.

The video was shared by the Congress party official spokesperson. However, he later deleted it.

In response, BJP Mumbai Suresh Nakhua tweeted the original video where the crowd can be seen. The same video has been shared by users countering the viral video.

When searched using the keyframes of the video, we also found the original video shared by BJP on April 1, 2021, where the crowd could be clearly seen.

Compared to the original video, the viral video is blurred, and there is no sound. In the original video, we can hear the voices of the crowd.

When searched using the keywords, `PM Modi receives grand welcome in Jayanagar', we found the same video shared by the Times of India.

The viral video has been blurred and voices have been removed to make it look like Indian PM is waving to an empty field.

Therefore, the claim that PM Modi is waving to an empty ground is FALSE.
