Fact Check
NewsMeter ran a reverse image search of the keyframes of the viral video. We found a longer version of the video published by the Aam Aadmi Party on its official YouTube channel on 7 September 2022.
The video is titled, Youths of Haryana in a Townhall with Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann.
After 17.45 minutes, Mann can be heard appreciating youths for ideas and startups. "Those who make false promises won't give you platforms," he said
At 18.19 minutes, he said: "But we are not a party who makes false promises, we do, what we say, and to promise things that we cannot do, is something that we do not practice."
The complete sentence about not practising false promises has been clipped from the viral video. Hence, the viral video is misleading.
