Digitally created video falsely shared as Russian strike on NATO bunker

Hyderabad: A video of a massive bomb attack is doing the rounds on social media. Several Twitter users claimed that the video shows a Russian strike on a Northern Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) bunker.

In the comment section, many people are questioning the veracity of the viral video.

FACT CHECK

NewsMeter found the claim to be false as the viral video is digitally created.

We performed a reverse image search using the keyframes of the viral video and found the same video on a YouTube channel, InsanePatient2. It was uploaded on 28 February 2022.

The video is titled “What if Russia Started a Nuclear War?” and in the description it states that the creator is a VFX artist and a video editor.

Moreover, we could not find any credible media reports about any recent attack by Russians on a NATO bunker.

Hence, it is evident that the video is digitally created and not a real one. Misinformation about the Russian-Ukraine conflict is not new. Verify before you believe anything.
