Doctor caught sexually abusing sedated woman is Brazil’s Giovanni Quintella Bezerra

Hyderabad: A video is being shared with the claim that it shows a doctor, Islam Mohammad, sexually abusing pregnant women in the operating room.
A verified Twitter user shared the video and wrote, “Jihadi doctor Islam Mohammad raped unconscious pregnant women in the operation room. This video is from Brazil and dates back to July. I have posted it to give a message to my Sanatani brothers that these Jihadis can be found anytime in any form, you already know their mentality. Vigilant be careful!!” (Translated) (Archive)

NewsMeter found that the name of the anaesthetist in the video is Giovanni Quintella Bezerra.
On performing a reverse image search of the video’s keyframe, we found the video in a Times of India article titled “Caught on Cam: Anesthetist caught on camera raping a pregnant woman during surgery in Brazil.”
As per the description, the video is from Brazil and shows an anaesthetist raping a pregnant woman during a C-section. The accused was identified as Dr. Giovanni Quintella Bezerra who orally raped a woman after heavily sedating her in the hospital in Rio de Janeiro.
The Cable Lifestyle carried a still from the video and said anaesthetist Giovanni Quintella Bezerra was arrested on the charge of rape. He was filmed assaulting a sedated pregnant woman while she underwent a C-section.
A Daily Mail report from 10 July 2022 said Giovanni Quintella Bezerra, 32, was arrested in Rio de Janeiro. He was caught after nurses became suspicious of his behaviour during two C-sections that day and secretly recorded him during a third.
It also said that three more women have accused him of abuse which made him a suspect in at least six cases.
Hence, we conclude that the man seen in the video sexually abusing a patient is Giovanni Quintella Bezerra, not Islam Mohammad. Hence, the claim is misleading.
