Fact Check

NewsMeter found that the video had been doctored by adding the trailer of Jawan. The original video shows a crowd celebrating a goal during the Euro 2016 tournament.

We performed a reverse image search on the keyframe of the video and found it uploaded on YouTube 'Heart News West Country' dated June 17, 2016, titled “Fans at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, celebrate England winner against Wales at Euro 2016.” It shows people celebrating a goal in a football match.

Here is the comparison of the visuals from both videos, which confirms that the trailer of Jawan has been digitally added to the viral video.

We also came across a 2016 article on the Bristol City Football Club website, carrying an image resembling the viral video. According to the report, the Sports Bar and fan zone were packed by supporters to watch the match in which England defeated Wales by 2-1. It also mentioned that the fans erupted in massive celebration after the England victory.

Hence, we conclude that the viral video is doctored and not fans watching Jawan’s trailer.
