Fact Check
NewsMeter ran a keyword search and found that a concert was organised in Jaipur on 16 December to mark 100 days of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. Playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan and other singers performed at the event which was attended by Rahul Gandhi, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and other Congress leaders.
On 16 December, the official Twitter handle of Bharat Jodo Yatra had tweeted photos of the event celebrating 100 days of the walkathon.
Further, we performed a reverse image search of the video's keyframe and found the same video tweeted by journalist Akhilesh Tiwari. However, in this video, Sunidhi Chauhan can be heard crooning "Ek Mai Aur Ek Tu Hai, Aur Hawa Me Jadu Hai," a popular Bollywood song called "Right Here Right Now" from the 2005 film 'Bluffmaster.'
Several Twitter users had posted the same video. (Click here and here to see the post.)
Finally, we found a 30-minute video of the concert on YouTube. In this video, we did not find any Bhojpuri songs being played during the concert. At around the 14.16-minute mark, Sunidhi Chauhan can be heard singing the same Bollywood song.
It is evident that the viral video has been doctored by inserting the Bhojpuri song. Hence, we conclude that the video is misleading.
