HYDERABAD: A picture of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is viral on social media. Users claim that the photo was taken after a team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided his residence `Mannat'. It is being claimed that the picture is linked to the recent arrest of his son Aryan Khan and the visit of NCB to his house.
Social media users are sharing the image with the text, "Face of Shah Rukh Khan after NCB raids his house Mannat".
FACT CHECK:
The picture is not linked to the recent arrest of Aryan Khan and the visit of NCB to Mannat.
NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found the same picture in a report carried by India Today on March 16, 2017. The picture was taken during Alia Bhatt's 24th birthday party and many attended the event including Sidharth Malhotra, Karan Johar, and her `Dear Zindagi' co-actor Shah Rukh Khan.
A news report by The Quint said while arriving at Alia Bhatt's home, Shah Rukh Khan's driver accidentally ran over a photographer's foot and that the actor immediately rushed to his safety. He had then instructed his bodyguard to immediately take the photographer to a hospital and also assured him that he would pay the medical bills.
Clearly, the viral image is not linked to Aryan Khan's case. Moreover, the viral image has been edited to render an anguished look to the actor. The comparison between the viral photo and the original image can be seen below.
Hence, it is clear that the claim is false.
