Fact Check
The claim that the photo shows the BJP MP being admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Maharashtra for allopathic treatment is false.
While it is true that Thakur is currently at the Kokilaben Hospital, the image is old and is shared with a misleading claim. According to reports by The Week and India Today, Thakur was airlifted to Mumbai for treatment after she complained of breathing troubles. However, the viral image was taken in January 2013 when Thakur was diagnosed with breast cancer and was admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital in Bhopal.
The Hindu had published the same viral image in January 2013 and said that the 2008 Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragnya Singh Thakur was taken to the Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital, Bhopal, for medical examination. She was later diagnosed with breast cancer. An article published by ScoopWhoop in May 2016 also had the same image and discussed the controversial discharge of Thakur.
As the image has been on the Internet since 2013 it is clear that it is not linked to Thakur's recent hospitalization. Hence, the viral image is not recent and the claim is false.
