HYDERABAD: A screengrab of the ABP News bulletin is circulating on social media. Users claim MP home minister rebelled with 30 MLAs
"Narottam Mishra has rebelled along with 30 MLAs," reads the English translation of the viral message.
Social media users began sharing this image after ABP News recently broadcasted an alleged conflict between MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The screenshot of the news bulletin by ABP News is morphed.
NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found that the picture is linked to an incident that took place in September 2020 when Mishra apologized for showing up at an event in Indore without a mask.
According to news reports, when he was asked the reason for not wearing a mask during the COVID 19 pandemic (not following safety guidelines) Mishra said: "I don't wear it, so what?"
However, he later apologized and requested all citizens to wear masks and follow the safety measures. (Source: ANI News report, Economic Times). The image of Mishra in the viral image was taken several months ago; this indicates that the viral image contains a few discrepancies.
NewsMeter found that ABP News had covered the mask incident. However, the bulletin did not match the viral screenshot. The font style, formatting, and the lower headline were different. Note that the viral image headline is quite larger in size when compared to the original image and that the timestamp is incomplete too.
We also found a tweet by Narottam Mishra where he cleared the air and stated that there is no conflict between him and any other member and the news circulating online is "completely baseless, misleading and untrue". He further stated that the party is organized and united under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan and VD Sharma.
Evidently, it is clear that there is no conflict between Mishra and Chouhan. Mishra has cleared the air. ABP news bulletin is morphed with false claims.
