Hyderabad: A list of Adani Group's agro-based companies has gone viral on social media amid the ongoing farmers' protest against the three farm Bills which, many fear, will make way for corporate players to enter the agricultural sector.
The companies were reportedly incorporated in 2019 just before the farm Bills were introduced by the Central government in 2020.
According to one Twitter user, "2019: Adani registered multiple Agri based companies. 2020: Modi passes farm bills which are designed to help Corporates like Adani."
The message has also gone viral on Facebook.

The claim that the Adani Group incorporated several agricultural companies in 2019 is FALSE.
Upon close observation, we found that the viral list is a snapshot of the details of a person named Amit Malik. The list clearly shows the appointment date of Mr. Malik, who is the director of Adani Agri Logistics, in several locations.
We searched for the director identification number (DIN) 08397245 (as seen in the viral list) and found a similar list on various websites that show the directorship details of all the companies. Here, in this list too, the details are similar to those in the viral image.

We checked the WHOIS database and found that the website www.adaniagrilogistics.com was registered in 2014 and not 2019.
According to the company profile on Bloomberg.com, Adani Agri Logistics Ltd. was founded in 2005.
Hence, the claim that the Adani Group incorporated several agricultural companies in 2019 is FALSE.
