Fact Check

NewsMeter found the claim to be false, as the video shows an apartment in Delhi’s Dwarka, which caught fire on June 10.

A reverse image search of the video’s keyframes led us to identical footage published by The Indian Express on June 10. According to the outlet, the video shows a fire that broke out in the Shabad Apartment, located in Dwarka Sector 13 near the MRV School.

We also found the same visuals published by several other media outlets, including Times Now, News9 Live, and NDTV, on June 10. All of them reported that the video shows a massive fire at Shabad Apartment in Delhi’s Dwarka Sector 13.

According to a report published by The Indian Express on June 11, three members of a family, including two children, died after jumping from the balcony of a 10th-floor duplex flat to escape a massive fire that broke out on June 10. The incident occurred at a residential society, Shabad Apartment, in Dwarka’s Sector 13.

The two children, a boy and a girl, both aged 10, were declared dead on arrival at Akash Hospital. The man, identified as Yash Yadav (40), was pronounced dead at Indira Gandhi Hospital, according to the police. He was the girl’s father and the boy’s uncle.

The incident was also reported by The Times of India and Hindustan Times.

Therefore, we conclude that the video does not show visuals of the Air India crash site in Ahmedabad. The claim is false.
