Hyderabad: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14, 2022. An image of Alia Bhatt is widely being shared on social media. In the image, Alia Bhatt is flaunting mehendi applied on her hands. It is being claimed that the viral image is from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's wedding.

The claim is False.
NewsMeter began its investigation by performing a Google Reverse Image Search. The search led us to a report published on the website of the Hindustan Times on February 11, 2021. The report had published the viral image. According to the report, this picture of Alia Bhatt is from an ad shoot.
Taking a cue from this, we searched for the advertisement on YouTube. We found the advertisement uploaded on the YouTube page of 'Cadbury Perk India' on March 03, 2021. In the video, Alia was seen wearing the same jewelry and had a similar bridal look.
On further investigation, we found a similar image uploaded by celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda on her Instagram on March 06, 2021. In the caption, she had stated, "On the sets of the Cadbury Perk commercial with lovely Alia Bhatt."
Hence, it is evident that the claim is False. The viral image is not from Alia and Ranbir Kapoor's wedding but a commercial.
