Hyderabad: With the GHMC elections around the corner, the names of several political leaders are being attached to various controversies. After a fake letter, released in the name of Bandi Sanjay to the Election Commissioner, a tweet in the name of BJP MLA Raja Singh has gone viral. This tweet, in Hindi, claimed that "Telangana State President of BJP party is doing as he wishes. All the leaders are angry with Sanjay. If we need to win GHMC elections, remove Bandi Sanjay as the party president (sic)."

Fact check:

This claim is FALSE.

The tweet and its message have been rubbished by Raja Singh. He took to his Twitter account stating that this is not his tweet and it's fake. Sharing the viral tweet, he clarified, "I have not said this. Someone is trying to break the morale of the party by editing the text under my name. We will complain about this to Cybercrime. People have been circulating this morphed content using my name."

Some local media outlets have also published videos stating that this claim is false. They have also quoted Raja Singh's quote refuting the claim.

Hence, a viral tweet being circulated under MLA Raja Singh's name against Bandi Sanjay is FAKE.
