Hyderabad: A video of a mob apprehending a youth is being shared on social media with the claim that the boy had murdered a girl and later, put her body in a suitcase.
The video is further being shared with a communal angle.

The claim is false.
NewsMeter performed a keyword search that led us to several news reports published by the mainstream media.
According to a report by Aaj Tak from 25 March 2022, the police arrested a young man who was carrying a girl's body in a suitcase from a guest house in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. The two were staying at the guesthouse. When the youth was going out with the suitcase, the guest house operator and the staff suspected him. They called the police who arrested the youth, Gulbez, a resident of the Ghosian locality of Jwalapur in Haridwar. The girl was from Lalbara in Mangalore.
Dainik Jagran, on 24 March, had also reported the incident.
Other news outlets, including Live Hindustan, Samwad Sutra, Navbharat Times, Suryavansham Times, and News India 7, had also reported it.
Nowhere did any of the reports mention that there was a 'love jihad' angle behind the incident.
It is evident that the claim made through the viral post is false. The incident from Uttarakhand is falsely being shared with a communal angle.
