Fact Check: Did a class X AP student get zero in an exam after writing Bheemla Nayaks story?

Hyderabad: A screenshot of a news clip is going viral on social media with the claim that a class X student wrote the story of 'Bheemla Nayak', a movie, during an exam. He got zero marks.

Fact Check:

The claim is false.

The Andhra Pradesh government released the class X results on 6 June 2022. Only 67.26% of students passed the exams. This has led to a controversy.

We found that the screenshot that is being shared is from the program 'Weekend Comment by RK'. It is telecast weekly on ABN Andhra Jyoti. It was last telecast on 4 June 2022, before the Andhra Pradesh class X results were released.

Further, we noticed some spelling mistakes in the screenshot. The film's name, too, has been misspelled. It is unusual for a news organisation to make such mistakes. (Click here to read one of Andhra Jyothy's reports on 'Bheemla Nayak'.)

It is clear from this that the post was digitally altered.

Also, Andhra Jyothy's style is inconsistent with the post that is being shared.

We also looked for news reports about the incident but found none.

Hence, the claim is false.

Claim Review:A class X standard student wrote the story of ‘Bheemlaya Nayak; during his exam.
