Social media users are sharing an image claiming that the Russian soldiers held a group of Ukrainian girls at gunpoint.

"Russian soldiers invading Ukraine and threatening young girls at gunpoint," read the claim.

Fact Check
The claim is Misleading.
NewsMeter began its investigation by performing a Google Reverse Image Search. The search led us to a blog published on April 27, 2010. The blog was titled 'Why Zionism will fail'.
"In the name of Zionism, Israel continues to violate the basic human rights of Palestinian children, subjecting them to torture, brutality, detention, starvation (in Gaza), humiliation, psychological and physical terror, denial of medical care, and occupation. Israeli and Palestinian children deserve to live in peace," read the blog.
The blog had a set of images from the incident. Viral image was also used by the blogger.

The image was also published on a few other websites 'Occupied Palestine' and 'Innovative minds' in 2010.

On further investigation, we found a report published on the website of BBC titled 'In Pictures: Palestinian students protest'.
The report was published on November 24, 2005. The report had published the viral image. The image was captioned: 'Dozens of the schoolchildren tried to burst through the checkpoint, but soldiers warned them to stop.'
Hence, it is evident that the claim is Misleading. The viral image has nothing to do with the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
