Fact Check

The claim is True.

NewsMeter performed a Keyword Search and found many articles that proved the viral claim true.

We found a report by `Do you remember' published in 2019. According to the report, the name of the person is Dave MacPherson. The report stated that Dave MacPherson was 22 years old and a college student when he became Disneyland's first customer. This was in July of 1955. And he has been using his lifetime ticket every year since. He was the first in the queue on opening day and ended up being the first to enter the park besides Disney's family members and celebrities.

Dave came up with this plan while watching the opening day festivities on July 17, 1955. He would then make a 10-mile trip on a motorbike. He said he doesn't know what happened to his original admission ticket, but he did preserve a copy of a complimentary card that came with it.

Another report by `Flop mee' was published a year ago. According to the report, He said that seeing the line of 6,000 people behind him was something he would never forget and even takes his wife Wanda to the Happiest Place on Earth with a couple of friends.

We also found a report by `demilked.com' which stated that Dave usually visits the park with his wife Wanda and friends Martha & Joe Ortiz. Joe, in fact, was standing in the same line as Dave when the park opened but the two friends only met decades later.

It is therefore evident that Disneyland's first customer has been using his lifetime ticket.
