Hyderabad: A video is going viral on social media with the claim that a man was killed in a water park after a woman came down a water slide and hit him. He can be seen bleeding from the head.

NewsMeter received the video on WhatsApp with a request to verify it.

Fact Check:

The claim is misleading.

NewsMeter conducted a reverse image search and found a video report uploaded by Dainik Bhaskar. It says the young man was saved after he was immediately taken to the hospital. He was later released from the hospital, and no charges have been filed against him. Though a similar case of a youth being hit (and killed) occurred in Ajmer, this incident that happened in the Jhalawar district is unique.

According to reports, the incident occurred recently in Mukundra Water Park in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district. A woman was coming down the water slide when she collided with a young man from Ramganjmandi who was standing in the pool. The young man fainted, resulting in a serious head injury. People in the area pulled him out and he was transported to the SRG hospital for treatment. He was later released.

Google Maps photos of Mukunda Hotels & Resorts look similar to the one in the video.

Hence, the claim that a man was killed in a water park accident is misleading.
