Hyderabad: Social media users are sharing a video and claiming that three Muslim boys were molesting two Hindu girls. Netizens claim that the girls hit them in their eyes.

The video looks like CCTV footage in which these boys are seen misbehaving with a girl at a bus stand. Another girl sprays something in their eyes. The condition of the boys worsens due to irritation.


"These jihadi goons were molesting these girls. The girls broke the eyes of all three. These three jihadis are rolling on the ground. Hindus should educate their girls and teach them how to deal with such a situation," reads the caption of the viral post.

Fact Check

The claim is False.

On performing a Google Reverse Image Search, NewsMeter found a similar video uploaded on a Facebook page 'LOBO 619' on February 29, 2020. The page belongs to Mohammed Khayyum, popularly known as Lobo, who is an anchor and actor based in Hyderabad, Telangana.

According to the caption of the post, the video is for educational purposes. This information can also be read in the disclaimer shown at the end of the video. Actually, through this video, an attempt has been made to prepare girls for any such situation.

Fact Check Team also send a mail to Mohammed Khayyum about the viral claim. We are yet to receive an official confirmation from him. The report will be updated as soon as the team receives a response from his side.

It is therefore evident that the claim is False. The video has falsely been given a communal twist. The video is for educational purposes. The religion of girls or boys is nowhere mentioned.
