Fact Check:

The claim that lemons were placed under the tyres of the vehicle waiting for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin is false.

Delhi correspondents from several Tamil media clarified that the image is false. Senior correspondent of 'PuthiyaThalaimurai TV' Nirajan Kumar also clarified that the vehicle seen in the viral image was NOT the one used by the Chief Minister.

Arvind Gunasekar, a Tamil journalist based in Delhi, also tweeted the original image of the vehicle used by the TN Chief minister. His tweet read, "TN Govt official vehicle used by CM MK Stalin in Delhi. Don't fall for the WhatsApp University."

NewsMeter searched the Tamil media for any news on Stalin's visit to Delhi and found a live video streamed by Sun News. It confirmed that the vehicle used by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister was a Land Cruiser with the registration number DL 9C F 0900 and NOT an Innova with the registration Number DL 9C T 5858 as seen in the viral images.

Here is another video by 'Thanthi TV'.

According to news reports, Stalin is staying at the Tamil Nadu Residence where previous Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers, including Jayalalitha, used to stay.

Since Staling is also staying at the Tamil Nadu Residence, the viral photo could be of the vehicle used by previous Chief Ministers. However, there is not enough information to confirm this.

So, the claim that lemons were placed under the tyres of the vehicle waiting for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin in Delhi is false. The vehicle seen in the viral photo was NOT the vehicle used by M.K Stalin during his Delhi visit.
