Hyderabad: Social Media Users are claiming that the figure wearing a saffron robe and rudraksha in the Education Ministry tableau is a replica of Thiruvalluvar.

The claim is false.

The video of the 2022 Republic Day celebrations released on the YouTube channel of the President of India shows the tableau of the Ministry of Education at 1:23:35. The theme of the tableau was "National Education Policy".

Subhash Sarkar, union minister of state for Education, commented on the parade on his Twitter page:


According to news reports, the Education Ministry's tableau showcased India's rich education history and various aspects surrounding the theme 'Vedas to Metaverse: National Education Policy 2020'. Thiruvalluvar's name does not appear anywhere.
