Users claim that this picture is from India.

The claim is False.

NewsMeter searched the image using Google reverse image. We found this picture in a report published in 2017 on daily-sun.com. This news was about the floods in Bangladesh.


We also found this picture in a 2017 report on Bangladeshi news website `The Financial Express'.

We also found a PDF file of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), a humanitarian aid organization.


The report was about the devastation caused by the floods in parts of Bangladesh in July 2016 and how this organization helped the people. The viral picture was clicked in Kurigram, a district of Bangladesh and the photo credit has been given to a social organization 'RDRS' of Bangladesh.

We also found this picture on Pinterest. According to the information, this picture was taken by Shamsul Haque Suja. We came to know that Shamsul Haque Suja is a Bangladeshi photojournalist.



Hence, the claim is false.
