What is the location of the video?
We noticed that the video shows a gate. Writings on the wall near the gate state that the place is Gate No. 6 of Samaran Masjid. Through an online search, we found that the Samaran Masjid is in Karimnagar in Telangana.
We contacted Arshad Ali, the Joint Secretary of the Samaran Masjid Managing Committee. Samaran Masjid Managing Committee also oversees the graveyard from the viral video. He said that the mother of the woman in the video is not dead.
“The young woman was mentally disturbed, which is why she came to the graveyard and sat here. We have also informed her family members, who took her home. Someone filmed this incident and shared it with false information,” Arshad Ali told NewsMeter.

“Her parents are alive. It is not true that she slept on her mother’s grave for three days. Her mother is not dead. The woman was mentally disturbed; she went inside the graveyard and sat there in despair. The claim that she sat there for three days is false.”
The father of the woman in the viral video, choosing not to be named, told NewsMeter, “The woman in the video is my daughter. She was depressed after failing her B.Tech exam. She was upset and went to sit in the graveyard. Her mother is alive and well; the viral claim is completely false.”
