Hyderabad: Social media users are sharing a video and claiming that an Islamic tomb has been built on the premises of 'Gita Upadesh Sthal' in Kurukshetra, Haryana.

We googled 'Gita Upadesh sthal' in Kurukshetra. We found pictures of the premises on google maps. It matched with the viral video visuals.
We also checked the Kurukshetra tourist website and found official visuals of the place corresponding to the viral video.
According to the information provided on the website, the structure claimed to be a Muslim shrine in the viral video, is built by a Hindu Brahmin family in honor of their ancestors several years ago.
Further, we came across a news article that published a similar image of the structure. According to the article, some miscreants have placed a chaddar on Hindu bhorkha, which belongs to a Brahmin family and is 30 years old.
' Dainik Jagran', quoted Dr. Naresh Bhardwaj, a member of the Green Earth organization, who registered a case against the man who took the video and tried to spread rumors of the Muslim shrine in a Hindu temple.
Aaj Tak, in its report, has quoted the administrative and police officials who have ruled out the claim of Islamic structure in Gita Upadesh Sthal. When police investigated the viral claim they found that the structure was built by a Brahmin family living in a nearby village in memory of their ancestors, Aaj Tak said.
Hence, the claim is false.
