Hyderabad: A screenshot of a news channel claiming Allahabad High Court has ordered the closure of all UP schools for classes 1 to 12. The news channel claimed that 70 children have died due to the infection.

The claim is misleading.
NewsMeter searched with the help of reverse search, we found a screenshot of the viral news on a YouTube channel `Facts with Amit Pathak'.
The video was uploaded on Aug 31, 2021. "Allahabad High Court has asked the Yogi government to close the school from 1 to 12 in view of the increasing infection of Corona," it claims.
With the help of keywords, we found a news article by Zee SALAAM, which was published on 31 August 2021. According to the report, a petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court demanding the closure of all the schools. The petitioner has cited the possible third wave.
Petitioner's counsel Gaurav Dwivedi has prayed that online mode of education should be allowed.
Aaj Tak contacted Gaurav Dwivedi, the counsel for the petitioner in the Allahabad High Court. He said he has filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court, but it is yet to be taken up for hearing. High Court has not given any decision.
