Fact Check: Has Ambedkar featured on US $100 note?

The claim is viral on Facebook. NewsMeter received the viral post on WhatsApp.
Fact Check
The claim is False.
NewsMeter began its investigation by performing a keyword search. However, we could not find any credible reports or information related to the viral claim.
On further investigation, we started looking for the viral picture on the official website of the Department of the Treasury. According to the information available on the website, the Federal Reserve currently issues notes of $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. The design of the 100-dollar note has been changed four times. But each time the picture of Benjamin Franklin has been put on the note. It has never happened that a leader of another country has featured on the dollar.

During the investigation, we also found some websites allow custom images to be printed on US$ 100 notes. A careful look at the viral picture and the picture available on the website revealed that both the notes have the same serial number.

NewsMeter had earlier debunked a similar claim where the image of Mahatma Basaveshwar was used on a 100-dollar note.
Hence, it is therefore evident that the claim is False. Dr. Ambedkar's image has not been featured on US 100-dollar note.
