Hyderabad: An image of a girl carrying a puppy is going viral on social media.
"We need to learn a lot from this poignant picture of an innocent girl saving the life of a puppy amidst a severe flood. Photo Shivpuri Madhya Pradesh," reads the message.

Fact Check
The claim is False.
NewsMeter performed a Google Reverse Image Search of the viral image which led us to a website 'Global Giving'.
We then found this picture on the website 'Flickr'. According to the information, the picture was taken in November 2009 in Vietnam.
Taking a cue from this, we performed a keyword search which led us to a report by a Vietnamese digital newspaper "VN Express". We found that the viral picture was published on the website. According to the report, this picture was taken during the floods in Hau Jiang province of South Vietnam.
We did not find any report which stated that the picture was taken in Madhya Pradesh.
It is therefore evident that the claim is False. The image is nowhere related to the climatic condition in Madhya Pradesh.
