Fact Check

The claim is False.

NewsMeter firstly performed a Google Reverse Image Search, which led us to a tweet by the Head of TOLOnews TV Lotfullah Najafizada on September 11, 2021. He had shared the image with a caption, "Pro- Taliban women gathering in Kabul"

Taking a cue from this, NewsMeter performed a keyword search. We then found a news report by a website Khaama published on September 11, 2021. The report had a similar picture.

According to the report, as women have held several protests against the Taliban asking for their rights and participation in the incoming government in several provinces in the past week, Kabul witnessed a rare all-women protest supporting the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Teachers and students had arranged a gathering in Education University before they took to the streets in Kabul.
