Hyderabad: A video of a man is widely being shared on social media.
Users identify him as Bollywood actor Tiku Talsania.
Users claim that the man in the video seen with the Kolkata Knight Riders owners during the Indian Premier League auction is Tiku Talsania.
NewsMeter had received the viral video on WhatsApp.
A user had also tweeted a similar video.
Fact Check
The claim is False.
NewsMeter began its investigation by performing a Google Reverse Image Search. The Search had led us to a report published by Crictracker on December 02, 2021.
The report was titled, "KKR CEO Venky Mysore opines against IPL mega auctions". The report had published the image of the chief executive of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Venky Mysore.
Taking a cue from this, we performed a keyword search on YouTube, which led us to a video uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Prerna News' on February 12, 2022. A visual similar to the viral video can be seen from 0:08 seconds.
We lastly compared a screengrab from the viral image and images of Venky Mysore and Tiku Talsania.
Hence, it is evident that the claim is False. The man in the viral video is not Tiku Talsania but the CEO of KKR.
