NewsMeter conducted a reverse image search and found the same video on a Telugu local news channel's YouTube page. It was uploaded in 2017 and according to the description, shows the Maha rudrabhishekam in Guntur. The video is titled "Maha Rudrabhishekam @ Amma Ashramam."

There are reports of similar rituals being conducted in various parts of the Telugu states. The videos from these events are similar to the viral one. All of these reports indicate that the viral images are not from Kathmandu. (Click here and here to view the videos)

We couldn't find any reports linking the video to Kathmandu's Pasupathi Nath temple.

Hence, the claim is false.
