Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Hyderabad for the two-day BJP national executive meeting. Following this, a video claiming to show Mr. Modi going to the Raj Bhavan while a convoy of cars follow him has gone viral on social media.

Fact Check

NewsMeter performed an InVid search and found the same video on YouTube that was uploaded on 25 November 2021. The video title indicates that it is from BJP leader Narendra Bhati's rally held in the Delhi NCR region in 2021.

Several other YouTube channels also shared the same video in November 2021. (Click here, here, and here to see the videos.) However, there is no evidence to confirm the date or location.

Although NewsMeter could not independently confirm the date and location of the video, it is clear that it is not linked to the PM's recent visit to Hyderabad.

Moreover, videos of PM going to Raj Bhavan during his Hyderabad visit do not show any such rally. No media organisation has reported it either.

Evidently, an old video is being shared as the PM's recent visit to Hyderabad.
