This claim is false.
Newsmeter couldn't find any reports in the mainstream media about any news regarding the actor's ill health or death.
We then performed a keyword search which led us to a report by ESPN published on 22 August 2021. According to the report, at WWE Summer Slam, which is a popular wrestling event, wrestler Roman Reigns took Cena down with a spear and stood over him in celebration with the Universal championship held high. The 'RIP Cena post' can be a reference to the match.
We also found that John Cena has been active on Twitter. A recent tweet from the official account of John Cena on 26 August 2021 read, "Life has its hardships and suffering. Work to minimize the amount of suffering we create simply for the sake of suffering." (sic)
It is therefore evident that the claim made through the viral post is false as John Cena is alive.
