Hyderabad: Following the crushing defeat of the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan in the recently concluded 2025 Bihar polls, a video of educator Khan Sir has been circulating on social media. The video allegedly shows the educator accusing the BJP’s NDA government of vote theft in Bihar, while speaking to the media.
In the video, he allegedly admits that he voted for the RJD and states that while he previously did not believe Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s claims about vote theft, the results of this Assembly election suggest otherwise. He purportedly urges Tejashwi Yadav to immediately approach the High Court over the matter.
An Instagram user shared the video without any caption. The text in the video states that Khan Sir has accused the BJP-led NDA of vote theft.

NewsMeter found that the claim is false, as the video has been manipulated using AI.
We noticed the logo of Zee Bihar Jharkhand in the viral video. Taking this cue, we searched for the video on the media outlet’s YouTube channel and found it published on July 31, 2024.
In the video, Khan Sir speaks on the infrastructure of an educational facility with three sheds where 600-700 students study together. He talks of three exit routes being provided for emergencies, along with adequate ventilation and fans for summer heat.
Nowhere in the video does he admit to voting for RJD or accuse the NDA of vote theft in the 2025 Assembly polls.
Inconsistencies in the video
While we found the voice in the video matches Khan Sir’s natural voice, we observed a discrepancy in the lip-syncing with the audio. This is common in AI-manipulated videos.
Tool result
We extracted the audio from the video and analysed it using the AI-detection tool Resemble AI, which determined that the audio is fake.
Finally, we searched for media reports of Khan Sir admitting to voting for the RJD and accusing the NDA of vote theft in the 2025 Bihar assembly polls, but found none.
Therefore, we conclude that the viral video has been manipulated through the addition of AI-generated audio. The claim is false.
