The claim is misleading.

NewsMeter conducted a reverse image search of the screenshots of the video. We found the video with similar scenes was published by 'ETV Telangana' on March 6, 2022. In the video, a priest is attacking a devotee who came to the Ganpati Temple in Secunderabad. Temple priest Prabhakar Sharma got into an argument with a devotee from Uppal. It started when the priest objected to his entry without permission.



Several news organizations like ETV Bharat, NTV Telugu, and ABN Telugu have published articles as well as videos related to the event. As per the reports, the devotee had complained to the Secunderabad Gopalapuram police station about the attack. Prabhakar Sharma mentioned the name of the devotee as Valmiki Rao. It is learned that the police have arrested the priest and are investigating.

The FIR filed in connection with the incident is not currently showing on the Telangana Police website. We will update this article as soon as the FIR becomes available.

Hence, the claim is misleading.
