We then performed a keyword search, which led to several news reports. According to 'Times of India', dreaded criminal Anwar Sheikh alias Tiger Anwar was publicly murdered on Sunday (August 10) in Savanur in Haveri district of Karnataka.

According to the report, the reason behind this murder was a dispute over extortion money. Police have arrested Imran Chaudhary, the main accused in this murder and the hunt is on for three others. The man who died was a notorious criminal and a total of 26 extortion cases were registered against him in different police stations of Goa.

Another report published on `heraldgoa.in' on August 11, four accused in the incident (Imran Choudhary-28, Tanveer Choudhary-24, Abir Choudhary-22 and Rehan Choudhary-20) have been arrested and all these accused are residents of Savanur Nagar in Haveri district.

It is therefore evident that the viral claim is False. The incident did not take place in Rajasthan, but Karnataka.
