Fact Check

The claim is False.

NewsMeter searched on a website `MyNeta.info' and found Shiv Shankar Singh Yadav is associated with Samajwadi Party and is based in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.

We then performed a keyword search which led us to a video on YouTube. It was uploaded by 'Bahujan Halchal' on November 30, 2020. The video is titled, "शूद्र शिवशंकर सिंह यादव ने कटवाए हाथों से बंधे कलावे || SHUDRA SHIVSHANKAR YADAV || GAJIPUR NANDGANJ" . We found the viral clip in the video and the man was identified as 'Shudra Sivshankar Yadav'.

We then compared the pictures of Shankar Singh Yadav and Shudra Shivshankar Yadav.

We finally searched who is Shudra Shivshankar Yadav and found that he is a social activist and is nowhere related to any political party. We found a post by a Facebook user on November 30, 2020

"Shudra Shivshankar Singh Yadav Ji, the leader of social revolution awakened the people of the Yadav brothers who were caught in superstition and hypocrisy and introduced them to their power and knowledge by cutting Kalava, a symbol of hypocrisy and superstition. Shudra Shivshankar Singh Yadav Ji cutting the Kalwa thread of mental slavery tied on the hands of Yadav brothers in village Badhra, Nandganj, District Ghazipur (sic)," said the message.

It is therefore evident that the viral claim is False. The man in the viral video is not a Samajwadi Party leader.
