By Shimron Diana Published on 15 July 2021 4:04 PM ISTHyderabad: A video post of a mansion is viral on social media. Users claim it is Dilip Kumar's ancestral house in Peshawar, Pakistan.
"Dilip Saab house in Peshawar, Pakistan," reads the claim.
Fact Check:
The claim is false. The house in the video is not Dilip Kumar's mansion but Kapoor Haveli.
NewsMeter checked if Dilip Kumar had posted any images of his house in Peshawar, Pakistan. We came across a tweet by the actor himself.
Thank you for sharing this. Requesting all in #Peshawar to share photos of my ancestral house (if you've clicked the pic) and tag #DilipKumar https://t.co/bB4Xp4IrUB

"Thank you for sharing this. Requesting all in #Peshawar to share photos of my ancestral house (if you've clicked the pic) and tag #DilipKumar," he had tweeted.
The post had another by Shiraz Hassan's tweet attached. He had posted pictures of Dilip Kumar's house in Pakistan. These pictures had no resemblance to the video shared in the viral post.

We then checked the images of Kapoor Haveli and it matched it with the viral video.
According to the Economic Times, "Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had assured Rishi Kapoor that the Pakistan government will convert the actor's house into a museum".
This article gives us a clear picture of the Kapoor Haveli which proves the viral claim to be false.
"The Pakistan government has decided to convert Bollywood star Rishi Kapoor's ancestral home in the Qissa Khwani Bazar in Peshawar into a museum soon, heeding to a request by the actor," News18 said in an article.
Similarly, an article by Business Standard had an image of Kapoor's Haveli similar to the building in the video.
According to an article by the Republic world, "Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government on June 1 approved the purchase of the ancestral homes of legendary Bollywood actors Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor. The government has decided to convert the two houses into museums. The Peshawar District Commissioner Capt. (retd.) Khalid Mehmud rejected the objections of the owners of both the houses and transferred the ownership of the houses to the Archaeological Department."
Conclusion: Hence the claim is False. The house in the video shared is not of Dilip Kumar but is the Kapoor Haveli.
