Fact Check:

The claim is misleading.

NewsMeter with the help of some keywords found several news reports about the video. The video is from 1 August 2019 when the area near Ajmer Sharif Dargah was submerged due to heavy rains and a man was swept away. He was trying to save his cart when he was washed away by the strong current. However, he was later rescued.

We also found the second part of the video that is being shared by many Facebook users as that of Vaishno Devi. It is being claimed that the video is recent when Katra, including Jammu, received heavy rains.

Some screenshots of the video were also used in a news report by Punjab Kesari while reporting about the heavy rains in Vaishno Devi.

NewsMeter found that while the video is from Vaishno Devi it is not recent. It has been circulating since 2019.

Hence, the claim is misleading. The first part of the viral video is from 2019 from Ajmer, Rajasthan, while the second part is from Vaishno Devi but it is two years old.
