Fact Check

The image is morphed.

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found the original photo tweeted by news agency ANI. The tweet reads, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives a thumbs up to healthcare workers at Delhi's RML Hospital today morning as India crosses one billion COVID19 vaccinations."

Here, the woman is not making a crude gesture but simply touching the glass with her hand. We compared the original image and the viral image and noticed the difference.

The same image was also tweeted by Home minister Amit Shah and media outlet Jagran.

Clearly, the viral image is morphed. The woman is not making a crude gesture at Mr. Modi. Thus, the claim is false.
