Fact Check:

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found a similar image on many funeral service websites like Clay Barnette and Corey-Kerlin that was used as a representative image.

We compared the images on the website to the viral image and found that it was morphed. The stock photo shows a man at a grave sitting in the same position and holding flowers. There is no name on the gravestone.

Though Pele did not attend the funeral, he posted a message for the late football legend on Twitter. "What sad news. I lost a great friend and the world lost a legend. There is still much to be said, but for now, may God give strength to family members. One day, I hope we can play ball together in the sky," Pele wrote.

Evidently, it is clear that the claim is FALSE and the image has been morphed.
