Hyderabad: A purported hoarding of Aam Aadmi Party, Gujarat, is viral on social media. Users claim that Aam Aadmi Party is talking about offering Namaz in Gujarat.
Fact Check
The claim is False.
We searched for the image on the social media handles of Aam Aadmi Party, Gujarat. We first visited their Facebook page and found that AAP had clarified that the image is morphed.
We then found a tweet by the official Twitter handle of AAP Gujarat. The tweet was shared with a caption: "We want that the politics of Gujarat should move from Hindu-Muslim, religion-caste, India-Pakistan to government education, health, employment, hospital, electricity and other facilities !!"
We also found a tweet by 'AAP Dang District'. The tweet had shared a similar poster. We compared both the pictures.
It is therefore evident that the viral hoarding of AAP in Gujarat is morphed. The original hoarding does not have any such text about offering namaz in Gujarat.
