Hyderabad: Social media users are claiming that Morris Garages (MG) owner has gifted an electric car worth Rs 23 lakh to singer Sahdev.
Hailing from Sukma, Chhattisgarh, he became an internet sensation when he sang 'Bachpan Ka Pyaar'.

The claim is False.
NewsMeter performed a keyword search which directed us to a news report published on `Naiduniya'. It said no car has been gifted to Sahadev.
According to the report, a spokesperson of MG Company said they have not gifted any car. However, they have given a cash reward of Rs 21,000 to Sahadev.
We found a report by The Vocal News published stating Punjabi singer Badshah has also released `Bachpan Ka Pyaar' Song on Wednesday. Along with Badshah, Aastha Gill has also lent her voice.
Sahdev Dirdo had become a sensation.
On social media, there is talk of gifting a car worth Rs 23 lakh to Sahdev. A video has also gone viral on Instagram. It has notched more than 5 lakh views. It appears that Sahadev got a car worth Rs 23 lakh. However, it was proven wrong.
We then found a video on Facebook page of Bollywood Kesari. They also debunked the claim. They said he was only paid Rs 21,000.
Therefore, MG Showroom did not gift a car to Sahadev. It honored him with a cash prize of Rs 21000.
