Fact Check: Mr Bean actor is not dead, beware of fake FB pages
Several Facebook users claim that Mr Bean actor Rowan Atkinson died on 29 May, 2021.

Hyderabad: Several Facebook users claim that Mr Bean actor Rowan Atkinson died on 29 May, 2021. A Facebook page called "Mr.Bean", posted the claim which was then reshared more than 7,000 times before it was deleted. The image's text overlay reads: "REST IN PEACE/Rowan Sebastian 'MR.BEAN' Atkinson/Born: 6 January 1955 -- Died: 29 May 2021 (sic)."

Fact Check
The claim is false. Rowan Atkinson is alive.
Rowan Sebastian Atkinson is an English actor, best known for his work as television character Mr Bean. The PBJ Management, the talent agency that manages Atkinson, denied the actor had died. "I can confirm he's alive," a spokesperson for PBJ Management told AFP on 1 June, 2021.
The Facebook page that shared the false message is not the official page for the Mr Bean show. The official page is verified by Facebook and is named "Mr Bean" (without the period). The hoax page was created on the same day the claim was posted, whereas the official Mr. Bean page was created on 13 April, 2008.
It should be noted that this false message has been circulating across the internet since 2012 and has been debunked several times throughout the years.
The claim that Rowan Atkinson died on 29 May, 2021 is false.
