Fact Check

The National Education Policy 2020 did not propose to scrap class X board exams as is being claimed in the viral post. The policy talks about reforming the board and entrance exams so as to eliminate the need for undertaking coaching classes. (Source: Times of India, Hindustan Times)

The policy has proposed conducting board exams twice in an academic year, one main examination and one for improvement, if desired.

PIB has also debunked the claim and clarified that the NEP 2020 did not do away with the board exams.

Hence, the claim is false.
