Hyderabad: A photo of Union home minister Amit Shah in a green kurta holding a book along with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has gone viral on Twitter. In the viral image, the book is titled, "कांग्रेस मुक्त भारत (Congress-free India)." Netizens are circulating this with the hashtag "'#CongressMuktBharat"

Fact Check

The title of the book in the viral image has been morphed.

NewsMeter found a similar image in a report by Jansatta (a Hindi daily by the Indian Express) and by Hindustan Times. However, in these images, the book is titled in Hindi as "Pravasi Sankat ka Samadhan (Solution to the problem of migrants)."

According to reports by Times Now News and Tribune India, Yogi met the home minister in Delhi on Friday. In the meeting, they discussed the problems of migrant labourers and Adityanath also clarified on certain news outlets. After the meeting, Adityanath gifted a book to Shah which was titled, "Pravasi Sankat ka Samadhan" in Hindi.

Adityanath had also posted the original image and tweeted about the meeting with Shah in New Delhi.

In all these images the book is titled "Pravasi Sankat ka Samadhan" in Hindi and not "Congress-Free India" as claimed. Evidently, the viral image is morphed.
