FACT CHECK:

Firstly, NewsMeter compared the image of the lady in the viral video and of Maneka Gandhi and found that the two women are not the same person. We also noticed that the woman in the video says that she is 36 years old, while Maneka Gandhi is in her 60s. This clearly indicates that the woman is not Maneka Gandhi.

Next, while reading through the Twitter comments of the posts, we noticed that a few users pointed out that the woman in the video is Dolly Sharma, a Congress member from Ghaziabad. A picture comparison shows that the woman in the viral video and Dolly Sharma are the same.

Dolly Sharma had posted a 23-minute-long video on April 20 on her Facebook page where she criticized BJP for not handling the Covid-19 situation well. A clipped version of this video went viral and many netizens misidentified her as Maneka Gandhi.

Evidently, the woman in the video criticizing Modi and Shah is not BJP MP Maneka Gandhi. She is Congress leader Dolly Sharma. Hence, the claim is false.
