Fact Check:
The claim is false.
NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found several news reports from 2020 that had carried the same image. Outlook India, Deccan Herald, and News 18 had captioned the image, "Members of various farmers' organizations on their way to stage a protest against the central government over agriculture-related ordinances, in Patiala."
The reports stated that farmers from Punjab and Haryana held protests against the "anti-farmer" Bills introduced by the Union government in the Parliament. "The reports were received from Faridkot, Ludhiana, Ferozepur, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur and other places in Punjab and also many places in neighbouring Haryana," News18 reported.
Clearly, an image from the 2020 farmers' protest is being falsely linked to the Kisan Mahapanchayat held on 5 September 2021 in UP. Although it is true that there was a large gathering at the recent event, this viral image is not related to it. Hence, the claim is false.
