Fact Check

The claim is false.

NewsMeter found that the image has been viral on social media since 2018.

A Google reverse image search led us to a blog that had published a similar image in a post titled "Highway driving in India".

Earlier, the official Twitter handle of Congress had tweeted the same photo. The Times of India had debunked the claim in a report from 15 March 2019 titled "Fake alert: Congress tweets manipulated the image to target Modi government". The report said the image was digitally manipulated.

We compared the viral image with the original image and clarified that the former has been morphed.

It is therefore evident that the claim made through the viral post is false as the image has been morphed and is going viral since 2018.
