GHMC elections in Hyderabad city are scheduled on December 1. Several BJP central leaders have visited Hyderabad for campaigning.
Union textile minister Smriti Irani also visited the city on November 25.
After her visit, a picture of Smriti Irani and MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi is going viral on social media. The image has been shared with the claim that Smriti Irani met Asaduddin Owaisi secretly. They accuse each other publicly whereas they meet secretly and discuss the elections.
Several users also shared the same picture on Facebook with claims like "#BJP_MIM మొత్తానికి వెలుగులోకొచ్చిన చీకటి మిత్రబంధం"
"Gut Bandhan? The two bitter rivals - BJP (Smriti Irani) and AIMIM (Owaisi) deeply engrossed in a serious conversation in a get together in the capital. Is the fighting with each other, tooth and nail - just a showoff?"

The claim that Smriti Irani secretly met with Asaduddin Owaisi during her recent Hyderabad visit is FALSE.
This image was shared by a Twitter user Sulabh Panday with the claim that "Mr. @asadowaisi on one side he criticizes @BJP4India and on the other, he's roaming with BJP leaders"
Replying to this, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi replied, "Your old party MPs didn't attend power looms meeting & UP is on your mind not realizing that Weavers in UP r suffering"
We also found another tweet by Owaisi sharing pictures of him participating in the power loom Industry stakeholders Meeting on August 22, 2016. Here in these pictures, we can see Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani. We can also observe that both their attires match with that in the viral image.
He also tweeted a representation regarding the crisis in the power loom sector in Maharashtra and other parts of the country.
We also found several reports about the Power loom industry stakeholders meeting which stated that Union minister of textiles Smriti Irani has asked the textile commissioner to get detailed feedback on including yarn price fluctuation, anti-dumping duty on PTA and yarn, and dumping of undervalued fabric, and submit a report within 15 days.
